Nancy “Nan” Steer is an experienced civil litigation attorney and legal writer.
Ms. Steer is a Tennessee native who attended Austin Peay State University for her undergraduate studies. Nan studied philosophy at Austin Peay, which fueled her love for writing. In fact, one of Nan’s undergraduate articles was published in Stance, an international philosophy journal.
After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, Nan attended Belmont University College of Law, graduating in 2014 with her Juris Doctor. As a member of Belmont Law’s Charter Class, Nan served as the founding Managing Editor of the Belmont Law Review and a member of Belmont’s Board of Advocates, where she participated in an international arbitration competition.
Ms. Steer has worked as a civil litigation attorney since graduating from Belmont Law and prides herself in her ability to craft complex, compelling, and articulate legal arguments for her clients. Nan is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association.
In her spare time, Nan enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, running, writing, and listening to Jason Isbell music.
