Clint Scott named Memphis “Lawyer of the Year”

The “Lawyer of the Year” designation is awarded to one lawyer in a specific practice area and metropolitan region based on particularly strong peer feedback. Best Lawyers uses its Purely Peer Review® process to determine its annual recognitions.

This is not Scott’s first “Lawyer of the Year” recognition. Best Lawyers previously named him the 2021 Insurance Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Memphis.

Scott is a co-founder and managing partner of McWherter Scott & Bobbitt. His practice focuses on representing policyholders in insurance claims and disputes, including complex insurance matters and litigation.

Continuing recognition for McWherter Scott & Bobbitt attorneys

Co-founders Jonathan Bobbitt and Brandon McWherter were also recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Insurance Law in Brentwood.

Both attorneys have dedicated significant portions of their practices to representing policyholders. Bobbitt handles insurance disputes involving residential and commercial property, business interruption, bad faith and other insurance matters. McWherter has focused his practice primarily on representing policyholders in claims against insurance companies, including first-party property insurance and bad faith claims.

Attorney Erin England was recognized in the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Insurance Law in Jackson. England joined McWherter Scott & Bobbitt as an associate attorney in 2019 and handles first-party property insurance claims.
